In 2022, I shot more colour film than perhaps any other year so far.
Looking at the results, I noticed that the knowledge I had been shooting in colour had subconsciously affected my choices of subject. Overall, compared to the content of my black and white photos, there were quite a few more fun and quirky scenes. And although there are humorous and surreal elements to many of the photos and pairings in my other recent zines, for “Colour Fragments 2022” especially, I ended up leaning into this mood of fun/quirkiness.
